Abstract

Anak yang memasuki usia remaja sering menunjukkan perilaku agresif baik di rumah maupun di sekolah. Hal ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran di kalangan orang tua dan sekolah setempat, sehingga diperlukan peran orang tua dan lingkungan sekolah untuk mengembangkan karakter positif anak tersebut. Dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat, tim PkM Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Kusuma Bangsa Palembang yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 Oktober 2024, telah memberikan pendampingan tentang pengembangan karakter untuk siswa kelas VII. Dalam kegiatan PkM ini telah diberikan kegiatan untuk mengembangkan karakter positif. Kegiatan berupa pemberian materi, permainan outbond bersama teman berkelompok, dan diakhiri refleksi serta evaluasi kegiatan. Berdasarkan angket yang diberikan kepada peserta menunjukkan 83,3% perserta menyatakan kegiatan yang dilakukan sangat bermanfaat dan mengharapkan kegiatan yang serupa dilaksanakan kembali di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Kusuma Bangsa Palembang.
