Abstract

Kesadaran akan pentingnya tata kelola atau pengelolaan lingkungan membantu masyarakat memahami betapa pentingnya menjaga keberlanjutan sumber daya alam, termasuk hutan, air, tanah, dan keanekaragaman hayati. Kesadaran tersebut akan membantu masyarakat memahami dampak dari aktivitas mereka terhadap lingkungan, mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam pengelolaan hutan kemasyarakatan, memperkuat hubungan sosial dan kerjasama di antara masyarakat setempat untuk menciptakan praktik-praktik yang mendukung pelestarian alam. Kesadaran untuk ikut serta dalam pengelolaan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan di sekitar Taman Hutan Rakyat (Tahura) Wan Abul Rahman perlu terus dibangun untuk menjaga kelestarian hutan. Oleh karena itu perlu diadakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini. Kegiatan ini melibatkan berbagai melibatkan kelompok tani hutan kemasyarakatan dan masyarakat sekitar Tahura. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi penyuluhan, diskusi, dan tanya jawab. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam melestarikan hutan dan ekosistemnya, serta mendorong praktik pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan untuk menjaga keanekaragaman hayati, mengurangi kerusakan lingkungan, dan mengendalikan degradasi lahan.
