Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat, khususnya Ibu-Ibu Kelompok Wanita Tani Desa Sungai Langka, Kabupaten Pesawaran, dalam mencegah penyebaran berita bohong (hoaks) di media sosial. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 15 peserta dan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu penyampaian materi tentang pengertian, ciri-ciri, dan cara mengidentifikasi berita hoaks; simulasi penyebaran hoaks untuk memberikan pengalaman langsung mengenai dampak negatifnya; serta evaluasi tingkat pemahaman dan kepuasan peserta. Hasil test menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik, persentase pemahaman peserta terhadap materi yang disampaikan, dengan 86,7% menyatakan memahami materi dan 93,3% merasa sangat puas dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Peningkatan ini dipengaruhi oleh metode penyampaian materi yang interaktif, penggunaan simulasi, dan suasana pelatihan yang partisipatif. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa sosialisasi pencegahan berita hoaks dapat menjadi langkah strategis dalam membentuk masyarakat yang kritis dan bijak dalam menerima serta menyebarkan informasi. Diharapkan keberlanjutan program ini dapat memperkuat literasi digital masyarakat dan memutus rantai penyebaran berita hoaks di lingkungan mereka.
