Abstract

Kader konservasi memegang peranan penting dalam pengelolaan kasawan konservasi sebagai mitra strategis dalam mengatasi permasalahan konservasi yang semakin kompleks. Keberadaan kader konservasi merupakan bukti pengelolaan kolaboratif antara masyarakat dan pemangku kepentingan, khususnya di TNBBS. Perwujudan pengelolaan kawasan konservasi yang efektif membutuhkan upaya, sehingga pembinaan terhadap kader konservasi tingkat pemula menjadi prioritas dalam rangka peningkatan kapasitas terhadap konservasi sumberdaya alam hayati. Pembinaan kader konservasi dilaksanakan pada 30 April 2024 di Pekon Pemerihan, Kecamatan Bengkunat, Kabupaten Pesisir Barat serta terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa lima indikator yang menjadi substansi pembinaan mengalami peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 49% dengan range peningkatan setiap indikator antara 40% - 55%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa pemahaman dan pengetahuan terhadap konsep konservasi modern, Sejarah konservasi, dasar-dasar ekologi, asas dan etika lingkungan, serta tipe-tipe ekosistem meningkat setelah dilakukan pembinaan. Pembinaan kader konservasi tingkat pemula dapat melahirkan semangat dan sikap konservasi, sekaligus mempertegas bahwa konservasi sumberdaya alam hayati di TNBBS membutuhkan andil kader konservasi.
