Penyuluhan Pengendalian Organisme Pengganggu Tanaman sebagai Upaya Optimalisasi Budidaya Kopi

Beberapa tahun terakhir minat dan konsumsi kopi di Indonesia semakin meningkat. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu faktor budaya, faktor sosial, faktor pribadi, dan faktor psikologi. Jumlah kedai kopi yang hadir di berbagai daerah pun semakin banyak. Semakin tingginya kebutuhan kopi menuntut petani menghasilkan kopi yang berkualitas serta memiliki kuantitas yang melimpah. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi petani dalam mewujudkan hal tersebut yaitu serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman (OPT), yaitu hama pada perkebunan kopi. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan upaya penigkatan pengetahuan petani untuk menanggulangi hal tersebut. Salah satunya dapat melalui peran aktif penyuluh pertanian guna mendukung budaya good agriculture practice, agar kualitas dan kuantitas kopi di Indonesia dapat terjaga atau bahkan meningkat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan dalam pengendalian organisme pengganggu tanaman sebagai upaya optimalisasi budidaya kopi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui paparan materi, diskusi, dan praktik langsung pada perkebunan kopi. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa meningkatnya pengetahuan petani dalam mengatasi gangguan yang disebabkan oleh hama tanaman kopi.Downloads
