Abstract

Kawasan Kandidat Geopark Suoh di Kabupaten Lampung Barat memiliki potensi geowisata yang tinggi dengan keunikan geologi seperti Danau Asam, Kawah Nirwana, dan Lembah Suoh. Rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap potensi geowisata menjadi tantangan utama dalam pengembangan kawasan secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat lokal dalam pengelolaan geowisata. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, serta evaluasi partisipatif yang melibatkan masyarakat Pekon Sukamarga sebagai mitra utama. Kegiatan menghasilkan beberapa luaran utama, yaitu media edukasi geowisata serta poster edukasi mitigasi bencana. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman peserta sebesar 82% berdasarkan nilai pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif efektif dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran mitigasi bencana sekaligus memperkuat kapasitas masyarakat dalam pengelolaan geowisata yang aman dan berkelanjutan.
